One week rest - Busy, busy, busy

Lately I am not hitting the gym. I find various reasons for not working out. Reasons like I have too much work to do, the gym is too far, I can rest for one week and be back the week after and not lose strength. Even using my unability to stick to my diet as a reason. Reasons which are really valid if I need validation.

I was not like these when I started. I have been working my butt out for the past two years. At the start I was very consistent. I was practically going to the gym daily. I was as people might call a gym rat. I was losing weight, feeling great and looking great.

Then the dreaded plateau came. I hit it at 92-94 kilos. It gets harder just to maintain my current weight. I have tried lots of ways to slim down to my target of 145lbs. But it was always in vain.

Looking back and analyzing how I hit a plateau. A few reasons come to mind.

1. I am not as eager or motivated as I was before.
2. I am not disciplined enough with my nutrition and exercises.
3. Too much information

So for the next few months I will be going back to basics.

1. I will use a new program I got from Turbulence Training. You can check it out at this link.

2. To gain more strength, I might try a program I found on this site. 100 pushup challenge.

http://hundredpushups.com/

Of course I will be needing also your help. Please vist my site as often as possible and I will try to keep it as updated as possible. Who knows I might even post daily....

You Tube Videos

It seems that people are getting in to the fitness bandwagon. I got friends who are really training hard. Their reasons might not be the same as mine. Still it is really nice to know that people are really taking time to find the health nut in them.
BTW I will have a friendly boxing competition BY AUGUST WITH JULY. I know it sound a little awkward and funny???!!! ""
By his emails he is really prepped up. He got good wushu gym, a sparing partner and a mentor. Take a look at his photo ops.

3rd Week of Fat Loss Program

It has been three weeks since I started my fatloss program. Last weigh in I was @ 93 kilos.
I have been consistent with my training. I make sure I do 3 strength training, 3 interval training and 1 rest day. That has been my weekly schedule. If the training day conflicts with my work schedule and I will not be able to make it to the gym, I will be doing it @ home.
It the nutrition part, I am not still in the zone. Still drinking lots of fancy coffee concoction. And I am not overly concern what I eat. Will do a better work next week. "I hope....."

2nd Week of Fat Loss Program

I am on my second week of Fat Loss Program. I am using a program I got from the internet from Turbulence Training.
It seems I did not lose any weight last week . The good news are I did not gain weight, I am feeling better and much more motivated. My clothes fit better and i feel stronger so I guess that still counts as an step closer to my goal. I am still at 95 kilos or 209 lbs.
For this week, I guess the best way to lose weight is to be stricter on my nutrition. Will have to use the nutrition program that comes with my recent Turbulence Training program. Will reduce my white carbs intake. 1 cup of rice daily and no pastas and potatoes. One more thing is to increase my intake of fruits and veggies.
I would stop eating cakes, pastries, ice cream. I am also including in my stop to eat list all processed foods like hotdogs.
I would like to say that I will stop drinking fancy coffee concoction but thats a weakness of mine right now. Lessen would be a better word and a very plausible thing to do. Just to up my ante, my goal for this week will be to drink the smallest size instead of the regular size. I hope this works.
I really can't get enough of this coffee buzz thingy though.
So here's to another week of fat loss. Will keep you updated.

My First Fat Loss Blog

Hi everyone,

I am Zernan D. Velasquez. 37 yrs. old and I weigh 210lbs or 95.45 kgs. I am currently doing my best to hit my dream weight goal of 145 lbs. I started to went on a fat loss journey around two years ago. It was the last week of April 2006 that I started. I was already around 260 lbs then.
It was fun and challenging at first. I was ecstatic when I lost a lot of weight. When I started, I was losing an average of 1 to 2 lbs. per week. Then after a year it hit me. Weight Loss Plateau, I was having harder time losing weight. There are times that I would not loss a pound for a week. But I just kept going, and going and going. I was at my best after trying out 3 programs, I got from the Internet. After 3 mos. of using this 3 programs. My was able to achieve my best weight of 90 kgs. that is 198 in pounds.
Then I decide to stop, I was missing my workouts, I was not keeping up with my nutrition and eating all the foods that were high in calories, processed and non nutritious foods again.
It has been four mos. of doing this and that. And now I am back to 210 lbs. I am now starting this blog to keep me on my toes. And be held accountable to my action.
I am now sharing to you my blogs so that people either encourage me, piss me off or do anything they want to keep me from wandering off and hitting my goal.
